Handling your success
On February 18th, Casa Siemens hosted the Clevertech team and the Marchiani team at its headquarters in Milan. It was a day full of activities and opportunities for discussion, starting with a welcome breakfast that officially opened the meeting.
The day focused on digital technologies, a topic that was also discussed during an informal moment over coffee between Floriano Masoero, CEO of Siemens Italy, and Umberto Reggiani, where it was highlighted how digital transformation represents not only an opportunity for innovation but also for the development of new business models that can complement existing ones, helping companies differentiate their market offering and strengthen their commercial strategies.
The Siemens team opened the meeting by presenting the latest developments and key market trends, explaining in particular how digital transformation can positively impact the progress and growth of companies while at the same time contributing to the reduction of resource consumption across different industrial sectors. Digital technologies increasingly connect the physical and digital worlds, enabling improved data analysis and the optimization of production processes.
The floor was then given to Clevertech, where our Chief Sales Officer Umberto Reggiani introduced the Clevertech Group and Marchiani, explaining how the group has developed over time, its global organization, the management of international subsidiaries and its four production sites, as well as the main challenges currently shaping the automation and material handling sector.
The meeting then continued with the presentation of technological innovations from Siemens. Many topics were discussed, including the integration of artificial intelligence into engineering and programming systems, with tools designed to support developers and improve the efficiency of engineering processes. The Clevertech team is already actively involved in these topics, participating in the Siemens Engineering Copilot focus group.
Another increasingly important topic is the integration between IT and OT environments, together with the development of new automation architectures such as the virtual PLC, which represents a significant evolution in the management of industrial systems.
During the day, solutions based on Industrial Edge technology were also presented. This technology allows data to be collected and processed directly at machine or production line level. Clevertech and Marchiani are already leveraging this new platform which, through existing or custom-developed applications, enables the creation of monitoring and data analysis systems to improve process visibility, detect potential anomalies and implement predictive maintenance strategies, increasing equipment efficiency and reliability.
The agenda also covered topics related to robotics and factory control systems, as well as the main trends in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, which is increasingly moving towards higher levels of automation, digitalization and production flexibility.
Particular attention was also dedicated to Cybersecurity, which is becoming increasingly relevant in the industrial world. Cyber risk in 2026 is now considered systemic and revolves around three main factors: the acceleration of artificial intelligence, geopolitical fragmentation and the increase in cyber-enabled fraud. More and more organizations are evaluating the security of AI-based tools, an aspect that directly impacts the industrial environment as well.
During the meeting, Siemens also presented several digital products and solutions designed to support companies in optimizing production processes and improving machine efficiency, thanks to advanced monitoring systems, data analytics and notification tools that allow maintenance activities to be carried out in a timely and effective way.
Finally, the teams from Siemens, Clevertech and Marchiani discussed business models. It clearly emerged that the introduction of new technologies is often hindered if it is not supported by sustainable business models. For this reason, the Siemens team presented its new Servitization support program, which through training and co-creation sessions helps companies identify the right commercial strategies to support the digital transformation process.
The day concluded with an open discussion among participants and a visit to the Casa Siemens headquarters.
We would like to thank Siemens once again for hosting us and for sharing with our team the key technological innovations and topics that are shaping the future of industry.
